So I’ve finally returned to my workout routine - thank goodness. I wasn’t sure when I was going to get out of this laziness/partying streak.
It’s crazy how much better I feel now that I have started working out and eating better. I really want to lose a few more pounds before I make my trip up to Ohio to see my friends. I really want them to think I look good - I haven’t seen them in 2 years and can’t look like crap going up there.
If I lose 10 more lbs I will be so happy, so I guess we’ll see what happens - I have just under a month to lose 10 lbs. I’ll let you know how it goes!
I was thinking today, about my friends. I think I would do just about anything for the friends I have. I have had to weed through all the not-so-awesome people I have come into contact with over the years in order to find the real friends I have now (in all “my” states, NY, OH, and FL.)
In all honesty, I have lived away from my family for about 8 years now, so my friends have basically been my family over those years. It’s kinda scary to let people in your life like that, but I don’t think I would have it any other way.
What would you do for your friends? Do you have people in your life that mean that much to you?
So I’ve never been a big NBA fan; college was always what I liked more. I used to like the Knicks back in the ’90s when they had Patrick Ewing, the were good and when I lived in NY and my dad would take me to the games. Since moving to Orlando I have become much more of a Magic fan. The awesome thing about that is the Magic are in the NBA finals and Patrick Ewing is on their team now as the Assistant Coach - crazy I know!
The other amazing think about the Orlando Magic is Mr. J.J. Redick. I have always liked him since he played at Duke. It’s a very simple reason why I’m such a huge fan; and it’s got nothing to do with the defense he plays. He is a extremely good looking guy (although a tan and a fixed up grill would make him a 10) and I know he’s got sworms of female fans and for this guy, I’m one of them.
Well, 45 minutes until game time - Game 1 vs. the Lakers in Orlando. Let’s go Magic, beat the Lakers!! (Wow, I feel like such a cheerleader now, sigh.)
